Prabhas has become a very famous hero in Tollywood in a very short span of time.His full name is Prabhas Raju Uppalapati. He was born on 23rd of December 1979 in chennai,India. Prabhas Raju Uppalapati’s parents are U Suryanarayana Raju and Siva Kumari. Prabhas Raju Uppalapati is one of the three silblings. His brother’s name is Prabodh and sister’s name is Pragathi. Krishnam Raju Uppalapati, who is a fomous actor in Tollywood and a politician, is uncle of Prabhas.

Prabhas started his movie career with Eshwar in 2002 about a poor boy falling in love with a rich girl. In 2003, he was seen as the lead in Raghavendra. Both did not do well at the box office.

Varsham (2004) reversed his fortunes. He was cast opposite Trisha Krishnan. The film went on to become a huge hit. Then he acted under the direction of B.Gopal in Adavi Ramudu, which miserably failed at the box office. In Krishna Vamsi’s Chakram (2005) he played a cancer patient, which performed moderately at the box office. However Chatrapathi (2005), in which he played a rebel, with Shriya Saran was a monumental blockbuster.

The movies which followed like Pournami (2006), Yogi, Munna (2007) and Bujjigadu (2008) however failed to leave an impact at the box office.

In 2009 Prabhas was seen in Billa, which is a reworked telugu version of the hugely successful bollywood film Don. The movie stars Anushka Shetty and Namitha and also Hansika Motwani doing an item number. He shared screen space for the first time with his real life uncle, Krishnam Raju Uppalapati. The movie turned out to be an average one.
